19th Century Costume Wigs

The American 19th century was the Victorian Era. A time of the Mexican - American and Civil Wars, but also a time of great prosperity as the industrial revolution created enormous wealth. The United States also completed its final expansion by acquiring the major territories: Texas, California, and Alaska. The fashion worn by men was formal and stiff and the fashion worn by women was fussy and overdone. The women’s costume wigs are very meticulous styled to mimic the hairdos from that era. The men’s costume wigs are coupled with a mustache and/or beard as well.
